Abrasion Resistant Elastomer Coatings: Adiacoat

Abrasion and cavitation-resistant elastomer coatings have been developed to virtually eliminate wear from particulate erosion and abrasion. Selecting the hardness specific to the application is crucial.  Surface preparation and a custom primer create an excellent corrosion barrier and cavitation resistance for iron and aluminum substrates. This elastomeric coating has recently been developed for water pump housings and impellers where high levels of abrasive sand and silt are present.  Over the past five years, we have developed the technique to apply and bond such coatings to a wide range of substrates.
